A Teal Rug Fits in Many Rooms

Color has always been the primary factor people consider when decorating their homes. Some people go for a complete color scheme that governs all the decoration they do of their homes, whereas others just put together different colors as they see fit on the fly. When you are shopping a sale or browsing through a catalog, you may come across a piece of furnishings or linens that you like, buy it and then not be able to figure out where to put it once they have got it home. If, for instance, you come across a teal rug that you really like, you may be concerned that you will not be able to find a place to put it at home, but you will be able to with a little bit of effort.

A teal rug could work really well in a kitchen. Kitchens, by their very nature, often need rugs because they add such a nice degree of warmth and also help keep crumbs off the floor because they are so easy to clean. Kitchens usually do not have too many colors in their decorating scheme so teal rugs can fit perfectly in the kitchen without clashing. Look for washable rugs with a pattern for your kitchen rug as they are easier to keep looking good.

In a bathroom, many people use neutral colors and neutral shower curtains, like clear ones, so the color of rug or linens you opt for can be bright and splashy. Teal rugs can be one of the best ways to make your bathroom have a little bit of a pop of color that adds visual interest to an otherwise dull space.

For your bedroom, a teal area rug can also be a great option, as long as your bedding is any shade of cream, white, or brown as teal goes well with all these colors. Rugs can be nice to put next to the bed so when you wake up in the morning, your feet touch a warm and cozy rug first instead of the cold floor.

No matter if you decide to put your new teal rug in the kitchen, the bathroom or the bedroom, you will be able to find a great place to use this piece, so do not worry so much about buying something on sale. Just follow your instinct, and you will find a place to put it.

Magdalene Ferris is a stay at home mom who has a (possibly slightly annoying) habit of redecorating the house every two weeks. She really enjoys redecorating, but since her family tends to get a bit irritated at having the furniture re-arranged and replaced all the time, she has decided to focus on writing about home improvement and interior design instead.
